Scope & Content Edgewood historic district was part of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers development . It was planned by John Nolen for the area east of the railroad, and was originally outside of the city limits. Many of the structures were built in the 1926-27 BLE era, and were priced at a lower cost for union members. Streets in the district are sections of Groveland Avenue, Myrtle Avenue, School Street, Country Club Way, and Live Oak Street.
